Misiano Skateparks 2017™

Lake Wales FL

July 7, 2015

Today was the final walk-thru for PHASE 1 of the re-build of the Lake Wales Skatepark in Florida.  Lake Wales park features modular metal ramps on a slab and the city was about to purchase more out-dated metal ramps, until they met us...

We were able to convince the city of Lake Wales to try pour-in-place concrete instead of buying more metal ramps.  The result.  They love it.  We are now in agreement to return later this year to get started on PHASE 2, which will feature a concrete bowl, a flow area and a new street plaza.    Stay tuned...

By cutting a trench in the existing slab, we're able to blend the new concrete to the existing surface, saving the city a lot of money by re-use of what they already have..

This "pump bump" provides speed lines and re-directs flow around the park.

The final piece.  A 40' wide pocket, featuring Tex-built pool coping and a giant bonus 45degree bank!

Lake Wales skatepark is open sun up to sun down.  No fence.  No lights.  No fees.

More to come...
